The "Next" Syphon's handle has been updated with a rubber coating, allowing for better grip and easy carrying. The lower chamber has new volumetric marking.
Coffee syphons have been used for hundreds of years - we have taken this classic and historied device, and elevated it with a modern design and quality materials.
The Next Syphon's handle has been updated with a rubber coating, allowing for better grip and easy carrying. The lower chamber has new volumetric markings at 400, 500, and 600ml. This syphon also includes a new stainless steel filter in addition to the original cloth filter. Use the cloth filter for a cleaner, lighter bodied coffee or the stainless filter for a fuller mouthfeel.How does it work?This brewing apparatus is supported by a metal stand that holds the brewer over an open flame or halogen burner. The water in the lower bowl heats up and pressure builds causing the water to rise up to the top chamber. Coffee is brewed in the top bowl and when desired extraction is achieved, the heat source is removed and the coffee filters back into the bottom bowl, leaving a clean and balanced cup.

Directions for use; use a slightly finer grind of coffee. Drop the washable reusable cloth covered philtre into the infussion chamber with the chain hanging down into the glass syphon tube. Pull the chain down until you can hook it to the bottom of the syphon tube. Fill the bottom carafe to the 5 mark with hot water and place 5 measuring spoons of coffee in top chamber.
