On offer is this lovely collectible vintage egg cruet. It's in really good condition overall, no chips cracks or restoration - light ware here and there and the odd surface glaze scratch but as shown in the photos all adding to the aged charm and character of the piece.
It's of traditional form and consists of - 1 x holder with fixed central handle; 1 x salt shaker; 1 x pepper shaker and 1 x egg cup or mustard pot. Each piece has been decorated with the same attractive blue and black border pattern as well as gilded edging which still stands out on display.
Both shakers retain cork bungs - they still function however are quite brittle now with pieces missing.
The cup and holder are marked "Collingwood Bone China, England", circa Art Deco era 1930's.
The stand measures 12cm (4 and 3/4 inches) across by 10cm (4 inches) in total height to the top of the fixed handle. The pepper shaker measures 67mm in height.
Also present is a period silver plated mustard spoon incase one wants to use this as a cruet set rather than an egg cruet!
