Up for your consideration is this #14 Vintage Lodge Cast Iron Skillet with Matching Basting Lid. Lodge Was founded in 1896 by Joseph Lodge as the Blacklock Foundry in South Pittsburg, Tennessee. The foundry produced a wide range of cast iron cookware and other items. In 1910, the foundry was destroyed by a fire and was rebuilt and named Lodge. Lodge is still in operation today and remains in the city it started in! Cleaned and Seasoned, ready to display, use, or gift! Sits flat, no cracks, rust, or repairs. Very slight pitting on the cooking surface of the skillet; this will not affect use. Unlike today’s cookware, this piece will literally last a lifetime. Cast iron not only becomes non-stick with use; it will last a lifetime with proper care, adds iron to your diet, is chemical free, and is extremely versatile! (Camp fire, Oven, Stove Top, etc) Some Cast Iron Cookware can have discoloration and utensil Marks, this will even out and darken with use. See photos for best description. We packaged all of our of our items with a great deal of care, so you can buy with confidence. Free shipping to the United States. If you live elsewhere, please message us for a shipping cost!
